That is why "You have to look the part" and it isn't just about self—it's about understanding the importance of being a professional.


Your appearance isn't spoken in words, it's a sign of your attitude, it shows if you are serious, and ready. Dressing for the occasion shows respect for the environment and the people you're going to deal with. Wear a suit in a corporate setting, shows you are professional. Casual attire is more suitable for my creative persona.


Looking the part for me isn't about following dress codes. It can boost your self-esteem and help you be more effective.


So, "look the part" should align with your goals and the message you want to put out there. Put it like this, you're more likely to be taken seriously.


Show your authentic self by staying true to your appearance and that right there is genuine.
